Book Review: Outer Order, Inner Calm

If you're a busy homemaker, or new to the world of decluttering and organization, or not ready to go minimalistic but need help, this is the book for you.

The chapters are short and the information is concise. Each chapter deals with a different element of clutter by asking questions and giving general, broad suggestions.

There is no formula or overhaul, just some things to help you think and get started moving in the right direction.

The last chapter on beauty was my favorite.

What I found most helpful about this book was its simplicity, generic applicability, and guiding questions. It's designed to help you think through things, not simply follow three steps to cleaning out.

I also appreciated is goal: help calm your soul by calming your environment.

Having practiced decorating with empty space, I can attest to the fact that less stuff is calming and makes life easier.
